It's a new road backers say would provide better access for visitors to Grayslake's Central Park, but construction will remain on hold until a formal commitment is made to pay for it.
Although Central Park belongs to the Grayslake Community Park District, village officials are considering whether to provide $100,000 toward the road's construction. Another $80,000 of the $180,000 project would come from the park district.
During a meeting this week, Grayslake village board members agreed to defer a formal vote on whether to make the $100,000 contribution so they can have more time to study the issue. ...
