FOOTBALL legend Sir Alex Ferguson didn't hesitate when he was asked to sign shirts for the club which launched his managerial career.
The Manchester United boss happily autographed three East Stirlingshire tops, which were to be raffled or given to loyal club sponsors.
But Sir Alex's goodwill gesture has sparked a storm at the tiny Third Division club, based in Falkirk, which has 29 season-ticket holders - 45,000 fewer than the Premiership giants.
