Paulist priest and movie producer Ellwood "Bud" Kieser, known as the Father of Hollywood, died September 16. He was 71. His work included the movie Romero, on the life and death of the Salvadoran archbishop; Entertaining Angels: The Dorothy Day Story; and Insight, a daytime serial-with-a-moral that ran for 23 years and won six Emmys.
