THE APPEAL OF HISTORY at postgraduate level has continued to flourish over the past year, reflected in the ever-expanding array of choice and diversity in the range of courses available. In this survey we look at a selection of courses on offer at institutions around Britain commencing September 2001.
Many departments now recognise that Masters degrees appeal not only to those who wish to pursue a career in research, but also to graduates who desire may to follow up their first degree studies by specialising in a particular area, to those with a personal interest in a related field, as well as to those seeking a vocational course with career advancement in mind.
