There were slightly fewer than 100,000 patents granted last year in the United States. That nets out to one patently good idea for about every 300 people. So, when was the last time you had a truly original idea?
Although I hate to admit it, like most people, I have had only a few in my lifetime. The remainder of the great ideas I thought I had were merely the collective extension of thoughts communicated by others either directly to me or through various media.
