Incensed by what it describes as blatant discrimination by health plans, a coalition of chiropractors is waging a legal battle to bring down the nation's largest health insurance trademark.
The American Chiropractic Association is moving forward with a federal lawsuit it filed in August 2000, charging Trigon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia and the national Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association with racketeering, extortion, mail fraud and antitrust violations for allegedly conspiring to underpay chiropractors.
