Only three-and-a-half percent of technology workers are African-American. Out of 21,000 Microsoft employees, only 500 claim African heritage. In light of these numbers, the recent announcement of a $5 billion lawsuit against Microsoft for discriminating against its African-American employees may not be that surprising. So it is refreshing to learn that an African-American, woman-owned staffing agency is succeeding through its development of new technology.
