Special Furniture Carriers Are Earning Their Niche
The recent publication of the 1988-1989 National Directory of Specialized Furniture Carriers focuses our attention on a group of for-hire motor common and contract carriers that specialize in hauling new furniture--and do a good job at it, by the way.
These carriers differ from so-called general commodity truckers -- the likes of Yellow Freight System, Roadway Express, Consolidated Freightways, P-I-E Nationwide -- in that they limit their hauling primarily to new furniture and compatible products, and know how to handle them properly.
