Feb. 13--More than a decade of specialty cheesemaking in the Watertown area will end in late April when Bresse Bleu shifts its production to a facility near Marshfield.
Bresse Bleu told its 51 employees last month that the Watertown plant will close April 27, said plant manager Kurt Premo. He said all the production and some of the equipment will be moved to the Edelweiss Cheese Co. near Marshfield, which was recently purchased by French-based Bongrain Cheese USA, the parent company of Bresse Bleu.
