Ooh, Grosse!
Which is meant as a compliment.
"Grosse Pointe," by far the funniest comedy in The WB's short history, lamentably is less popular in the Nielsens than even the network's terminally struggling "Popular."
A deft, savvy sendup of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and like-minded teen dramas, the freshman series doesn't deserve to be a great unwatched. But it's dead last among WB shows and ranks 142nd in the season-to-date ratings with a puny 2.4 million loyalists a week. Oh, viewers, where art thou?
Still, the WB commendably is striving to save "Grosse Pointe." Last Sunday's episode was directed by "90210" alum Jason Priestly, who ...
