TALKING to Branford Marsalis is like talking to your brother. He has a charm that makes people, especially his fans, feel as if they have known him' for a long time.
Despite his newfound fame, the jazz man comes across as cool, laid-back, down to earth with a colorful personality that shines nearly as brightly as his brilliant talent on the saxophone.
Dr. George Butler, a CBS Records vice president and executive producer of jazz and progressive music, signed Branford to the label and says: "With his baseball caps and sweatshirts, you wonder, 'Is this guy serious?'
