(Designer Angele Parlange goes shopping for boudoir runs at Wal-Mart.
NEW ORLEANS--BASED designer Angele Parlange loves impractical bits of frou-frou that tickle the imagination. At home, her lampshades are trimmed with feather boas and her dining room is tented in billowing metallic silk festooned with ostrich plumes.
But Parlange, who over the last decade has designed collections of clothing, dishes, fabrics, and furniture, is also as resourceful as a farm wife.
