"Would that be good enough for you?" Ray Bowe asked his wife, Mary, pointing out an advertisement in Country Life magazine one Saturday morning while the couple were reading in bed. On Monday, they ran through Marlfield House, deemed that the home of the earls of Courtown was perfect, and bought it on a whim.
