HELLEBORES ARE NOT snob plants. Plagued by the impression of elitism, these off-season bloomers are considered by many gardeners to be difficult to grow - plants only for "sophisticated" gardeners.
In fact, hellebores are among some of the easier plants to care for in the garden. They make up a group that includes species that flower in winter and those that develop into sturdy landscape shrubs; with such a variety, there's one for every garden.
