SUFFOLK -- A local man escaped from a holding area in police headquarters Thursday afternoon while authorities investigated allegations he provided a phony name to obtain a commercial operator's license, city police said.
The man, identified as 36-year-old Ronald Alexander Forbes, was apprehended before 8 p.m. by officers acting on a tip, a department spokesman said.
