The main European Parliament amendments to the Food Supplement Directive require:- mineral supplements currently available on the market to be included in the scope of the Directive;- the labelling of products covered by this Directive to include the phrase "food supplements" and the name and the category of the main nutrient and/or other ingredient(s) contained in the product;- warnings about safe daily limits - if exceeding these limits might cause health problems, this must be explained in the product information sheet or on the product itself;- warnings that products should not be taken by pregnant women or young children without medical advice;- that supplements do ...
