This speciality business is a small dog that is taking a bigger bite on the Internet
This is no lapdog.
Direct Book Service, doing business as Dogwise, is one dot-com business that is not dot-gone. In fact, it is dot-gone crazy.
According to marketing director Nena Walton, the niche market company retooled its Web site in November and has picked up enough new business during the last quarter that is exceeded its Web goal of $650,000 for the entire year -- by a full 20 percent.
