Feb. 20, 2001-IKEA announced the appointment of Pernille Spiers-Lopez as new president of IKEA North America. Pernille will replace Jan Kjellman, who has served as president of IKEA North America for six years, and has worked at IKEA for 25 years. Pernille, human resources manager of IKEA North America, will officially assume her duties as president of IKEA North America on June 1, 2001. In addition, as president of IKEA North America, Pernille will also be a member of the IKEA International Management Board.
