GeneProt today announced that Robert L. Parkinson, Jr. has been elected to the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors of GeneProt. Mr. Parkinson, most recently President and Chief Operating Officer of Abbott Laboratories, will bring his extensive expertise in operations of a multi-national health care corporation to GeneProt. In this non-executive capacity, he will devote a significant amount of his time to strategic and business development initiatives.
