SAN CRISTOBAL, Mexico _ President Bush and Mexican President Vicente Fox struck what they touted as a fresh "partnership for prosperity" Friday, pledging more aggressive efforts to deal with the festering problems of immigration and illegal drug trafficking.
In a joint communique, the neighboring leaders said a panel of their highest-ranking aides would immediately launch new negotiations "aimed at achieving short-and-long-term agreements that will allow us to constructively address migration and labor issues between our two countries."
