Last time he was in Madison, Steve Earle admitted he felt a little ill at ease, all decked out in a brown suit and tie. "Usually when I wear one of these, they lock my ass up," he told the crowd at the Barrymore in March 1999.
But when you play with bluegrass legends like the Del McCoury Band, you have to adhere to a certain dress code. So Earle suited up to play a terrific show that featured Earle's bluegrass compositions from his album "The Mountain," as well as solo sets from both Earle and the band.
