LSI Logic's 14-bit SpeedReach linear-analog front ends have a low analog-input-referred-noise floor of -- 160 dBm/Hz. The devices connect at distances as far as 27,000 ft, although line conditions have to be nearly perfect to achieve this range, and the data rate drops significantly below 1.5 Mbps. You can realistically achieve data rates of 1.5 Mbps at distances of 16,000 ft.
