Dear Bob: Your answer and discussion on a car's cooling system leaves a lot to be desired.
You say that coolant temperature will vary up and down, depending on something or other. How about the thermostat that's in one of the hoses? Isn't that supposed to keep the temperature constant?
You also say that the AC unit being on or off will affect the coolant temperature. How can that be? How can the running of an auxiliary component on the engine affect the cooling system?
