PRATT & WHITNEY TESTS INCREASED THRUST RL10 ROCKET ENGINE

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- United Technologies' (NYSE: UTX) Pratt & Whitney has successfully tested an increased thrust RL10 rocket engine, which will provide the ability to launch heavier payloads into space. The liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen rocket engine, designated the RL10A-4, is being developed to power the Centaur stage of the General Dynamics Atlas IIA launch vehicle.
