Feb. 22--RIO RANCHO, N.M.--Intel employees in Rio Rancho are taking Tuesday's announcement of expense cuts and delayed pay raises in stride, if casual lunch-hour conversations Wednesday are any indication.
Don Maxwell, a 10-year Intel veteran, said, "Most people are not too worried about it."
A software engineer said she was "a little disappointed. But it'll come back." She offered some stock advice, as well: "Buy now."
The $34 billion chipmaker hopes to save "hundreds of millions of dollars" with cost-cutting that includes paying lower-level employees ...
