Computershare, the world's largest transfer agent, will sell its Summit broker/client accounting system to Wilco International, a software subsidiary of Automatic Data Processing, for $3.38 million.
The Summit system, the newest product within the Computershare Technology Services unit, is an oddity among the other services in that it is only sold in Australia and New Zealand. Other Computershare products such as ASTS, a trading system, and ORMS, an order management system, have been sold worldwide-ASTS to about 14 exchanges, including New Zealand, Oslo, Helsinki, Budapest and the American Stock Exchange, and ORMS to Instinet and an undisclosed bank in Australia.
