The Twins saw enough improvement in Corey Koskie last season to decide that he would be the third baseman for the foreseeable future. This motivated manager Tom Kelly to approach Michael Cuddyer the other day and ask:
"Do you think that you will replace Koskie as the Twins' third baseman in the next couple of years?"
Cuddyer contemplated this and replied: "Probably not."
Kelly nodded, then said: "In that case, it would be in your best interest to start learning the fundamentals of playing other position."
