Auburn Hills has approved tax abatements worth a combined $750,000 a year for two companies planning to transfer an estimated 2,000 employees to new offices.
The Auburn Hills City Council approved eight-year tax abatements Feb. 19 for EDS Information Services L.L.C and Siemens Corp., the North American holding company of German-based Siemens AG. The abatements were for real and personal property taxes. The combined value of the projects would be $90 million.
Auburn Hills Assessor Victor Bennett said Siemens' abatement application calls for it to build a $62 million, 250,000-square-foot office near Executive Hills Boulevard and M-59. The offices would ...
