Feb. 28--HAMPTON, Va.--Reworking the West Mercury Boulevard interchange at Interstate 64 will begin in July and will take three to four years to complete, Charles D. "Chip" Nottingham announced on Tuesday.
When Nottingham commissioner of Virginia Department of Transportation announced the timetable, there wasn't exactly a gasp from the more than 100 Hampton, Va., government and business leaders gathered for the fifth annual meeting of the Coliseum Central Business Improvement District, or BID.
