SINGAPORE, Feb 8 Asia Pulse - Raffles Holdings Limited, Singapore's leading hotel and resort owner, has posted a turnover of S$336.3 million in 2000, up 13.9 per cent from S$295.2 million in 1999.

Net profit after tax and extraordinary items increased 37.1 per cent to S$79.6 million in 2000 compared to S$58.1 million in 1999, it said in a statement.

Earnings per share after extraordinary items for 2000 was 3.83 cents, an increase of 6.4 per cent over 3.60 cents registered in 1999.

On a segmental basis, turnover for the hotels and resorts segment grew 16.8 per cent to S$259.9 million from S$222.6 million in 1999.
