EPD ESTABLISHES PROJECT PETRO TO PROMOTE RECYCLING OF WASTE OIL
ATLANTA, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Used or waste oil has the potential to become a considerable contaminant source to Georgia's land and water resources if it is dumped or accidentally leaked into the environment.
In Georgia alone, millions of gallons of oil are changed annually by individuals who sometimes dispose of their oil by pouring it on the ground or into storm sewers, inadvertently allowing it to seep into streams and resulting in the possibility of rendering water supplies undrinkable or even fish kills.
