Feb. 7--High-school seniors Nicole Mortensen and Stephanie Fields headed for their school's snack machines after finishing their morning dance workout Wednesday.
Mortensen, 17, bought a chocolate and peanut butter candy bar, and Fields, 18, purchased chips and a soda.
"Once a day we'll come get something to drink and eat," Mortensen said. "After we're done dancing, we're starving."
If the federal government has its way, soon students won't be able to buy sweet, sugary treats at school.
