Deputy Prime Minister-Finance and Economy Minister Jin Nyum said yesterday that the economy is expected to begin its recovery from the latter half of this year.
``We can expect the nation to start to recover by the second half, with a stable economic growth,'' Jin said during a TV debate program yesterday morning.
Wary of the brewing controversy over when the economy would hit bottom, however, Jin said, ``We can say that the economy will begin to bottom out when the economic growth rate reaches the potential rates (growth not entailing inflation) of 5 to 6 percent and the people begin to feel the recovery.''
