KANSAS CITY, Mo. _ A teen-age girl and her boyfriend are excited about having sex for the first time. He's nervously fumbling with a condom package and the instant he tears it open, the girl's pager goes off.
"This condom has an alarm on it," the startled boy says.
This is prime-time television, an episode of "Felicity."
In one sense, according to a study released Tuesday by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, the "Felicity" scene is emblematic of what teen-agers are seeing on television these days. The sexual content of television is rising sharply.
