Air Miles, the frequent-flyer programme launched by British Airways 12 years ago, has been experiencing some turbulence.

Not only has it lost its founder, its two joint managing directors, its sales director, and its marketing director Amanda Mackenzie, who quit to go to BT (MW December 21 2000), but also one of its most important partners, Vodafone -- which has dissolved its relationship with BA.
