UFA FLIGHT ATTENDANT STRIKE FIZZLES
HOUSTON, March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Airlines announced today that only about two percent of its 6,500 flight attendants have responded to the Union of Flight Attendants call for a strike against the airline.
"The so-called strike has had absolutely no effect on our operations," said D. Joseph Corr, Continental's chairman and chief executive officer.
Continental recorded near record performance yesterday completing 99.6 percent of its scheduled flights, most of which were on time within minutes. Corr said the figure proved UFA's attempt to assist the IAM in carrying its scorched earth war to ...
