Mar. 4--It takes a village, as the saying goes. In Intrawest Corp.'s case, the big ski operator wants to build a resort village with lots of lodging, upscale shops and snazzy restaurants near Mt. Bachelor.
Intrawest, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, does not have a bid in for the Central Oregon ski resort, but the company is playing a big role in the debate over who should control Mt. Bachelor Inc. If The Pape Group Inc. of Eugene gains majority ownership of Mt. Bachelor, Intrawest likely would agree to manage the ski area, both sides said.
