Today SMC Corporation (Nasdaq: SMCC) released its results for the three month period and twelve month period ended December 31, 2000. For the three months ended December 31, 2000, SMC reported sales of $42.7 million and net income of $134,000. SMC had reported losses in each of the three preceding quarters of 2000. Sales in the third quarter of 2000 were $49.5 million and a net loss of $2.1 million was recorded. The year 2000 fourth quarter results compare to prior year 1999 fourth quarter results of $58.2 million in sales and $152,000 of net income.
