EPA Slaps Exxon With Clean Air Notice
Super major Exxon Mobil has found itself in the grip of the enforcement arm of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for alleged violation of clean air regulations at its Baytown, Texas, refinery that could possibly lead to millions of dollars in fines and penalties.
Likely putting a damper on the inaugural celebrations of some oil-patch backers of President Bush, the former Clinton administration issued a notice of violation to Exxon on the last day of its term.
