MAYTAG TO SELL MAGIC CHEF AIR CONDITIONING UNIT TO LENNOX INTERNATIONAL

NEWTON, Iowa, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Maytag Corporation (NYSE: MYG) will sell its Magic Chef Air Conditioning division to Lennox International Inc. of Dallas, according to a joint announcement issued today. Terms of the definitive agreement were not disclosed.

The sale is subject to review by governmental agencies, but no objections are anticipated. Representatives of both firms said they expect the transaction to be final by mid-December.
