PHOENIX - Will Ohman isn't about to panic over his rocky start to the exhibition season.
In two Cactus League games, the rookie left-handed reliever is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. In Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Oakland, he pitched 2 innings and gave up 4 hits and 2 runs.
A day later, he was looking forward to a new day, a prerequisite for all successful relief pitchers.
For Ohman, it's even more important. He's battling for the 11th and final spot on the Cubs' pitching staff. The 23-year-old lefty earned a September call-up last year after going 6-4 with a 1.89 ERA at Class AA West Tenn. In 71 1/3 ...
