Mar. 9--An Augusta plant that recycles dusty old carpet into the virgin-quality raw material from which it came continues to receive industry accolades.
Evergreen Nylon Recycling LLC, now in its second year of operation, was recently named first runner-up in the "Technology of the Year" awards presented by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technologies.
The award recognizes energy-efficient manufacturing processes that contribute to the economy as well as the environment. The award was presented last month in Washington.
