VIRGINIA POWER VOLUNTEER PROGRAM TO RECEIVE PRESIDENT'S AWARD

RICHMOND, Va., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Virginia Power's Volunteer Program has been selected to receive the 1989 President's Volunteer Action Award for promoting volunteerism in the workplace. President George Bush will present the award at a White House ceremony April 11.

The President's Volunteer Action Awards were created in 1982 to recognize outstanding volunteer contributions by individuals and organizations that have helped others and demonstrated what can be accomplished through voluntary action.
