The ever-provocative curator Catherine David recently offered an exhibition of video and photographic works that surveyed contemporary experiences of repression and resistance.
Since the close of Documenta X in 1997, Catherine David, the outspoken French curator who directed the event, has kept a conspicuously low profile. This has not been in response to the lukewarm critical reaction that greeted the megashow in Kassel, Germany.
