Yoko Ono kept a sellout audience rapt with yarns about her life as an artist Saturday at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis - and literally wrapped the museumgoers in yarn as part of a performance-art piece.
Billed as "An Afternoon with Yoko" as part of her newly opened Walker exhibit "Yes Yoko Ono," the 1 1/2-hour session included an artist dialogue with art historian Kristine Stiles, who at one point crawled with Ono underneath a large, stretchy, form-fitting fabric to perform a spontaneous pas de deux. Later, Ono did some primal screaming, accompanied by an impressionistic film, and, finally, answered questions from the audience.
