"Segodnya," "Vremya Novostei," and "Nezavisimaya gazeta" on 22 February all speculated that the arresst of veteran FBI official Richard Philip Hanssen on espionage charges was the direct result of the defection of Russian UN mission staffer Sergei Tretyakov last fall.
