The D.C. Council yesterday asked the public what it thought about council members repealing term limits for themselves. They may not have liked the answer.
"If this body moves to repeal the will of the people, it will be just as disrespectful as the referendum to create the [hybrid] school board was," said former school board member Calvin Lockridge.
Most of the dozens of residents complained that the measure violates the vote seven years ago that established term limits. They say the council is trying to "back door" term limits' dissolution.
