Mar. 12--Walt Ling, an IBM Rochester manager for almost a decade, on Friday became IBM Corp.'s top executive for Minnesota and its local complex on the city's northwest side.
Ling will add those public roles to his current IBM duties as vice-president for global customer satisfaction and technical support for the computer maker's Server Group.
He was promoted after the departure late in January of Martha Morris, who had been IBM's out-front executive for two years. Morris was named vice president for manufacturing for the IBM Storage Systems Group and moved ...
