DENTSPLY International Inc., (NASDAQ - XRAY) today announced that it has completed its previously announced acquisitions of Friadent GmbH and the dental injectible anesthetic business of AstraZeneca.
The Company paid DM 220 million (approximately US $100 million) in January for all of the outstanding shares of Friadent GmbH. Friadent is a major global dental implant manufacturer which has a number one market share position in Germany and a number two market share position throughout Europe.
