It doesn't look good for the expansion of the Albert Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center and maybe that isn't all bad.
In brief: Costs are going up, delays are inevitable and the plan to expand over I-75 is becoming ever more exotic.
The latest proposal is to float the expansion out over the highway like a suspension bridge, because any other option would put unacceptable support structures in the path of a realigned I-75.
Apparently nobody thought to tell expansion planners until now that I-75 has to be realigned as part of the Brent Spence Bridge replacement. The Ohio Department of Transportation made it known ...
